Social media is too broad. You follow a few builders, and your feed fills up with ads and sponsored content that have nothing to do with why you showed up. You scroll past ten things you don't care about to find one thing you do.
The forums were better. Find a build thread and you could follow the whole journey - part by part, photo by photo, problem by problem. But if you wanted to follow five builds, you were on five different forums.
That’s where we come in.
You're not the product.
We are.

Messaging on The Buildsheet is private, just between you and the builder. No public comment section. No performative back-and-forth. No one trying to score points in front of an audience.
Think of it like walking around a cars & coffee and striking up a conversation with someone about their build. That's what social feels like.
Connect your YouTube channel and pull videos straight into your build entries — without the algorithm trying to push viewers somewhere else after the play. The embed sits inside the diary entry where it belongs.
Two ways in: pick from your uploads when you're writing an entry, or have new videos auto-post to a build the moment you publish them. Either way, the video lives next to the words about it. Same place. Same context.
Pulled the head today. Surface looks straight, no warpage. Took the opportunity to clean up the valve cover gasket area while it was all open. Full walkthrough in the video below ↓
I love build threads. The ones where someone documents every single step, from sourcing the parts, making the mistakes, doing it over, and finally getting it right. That stuff is gold.
But the forums were fragmented. And social media never replaced them. It just made everything faster and shallower. An Instagram post isn't a build thread. And both are drowning in stuff you didn't ask for.
“I wanted one place where the build is the thing.”
I also wanted a place that respects you. Where you're a member, not a product. Where the people building the platform are accountable to the community, not to advertisers.
That's The Buildsheet.
The Buildsheet is a product of Scholz Family Consulting Labs.
Subscription-based. We work for members, not advertisers. We don't sell your data. We don't profile you. We never will.
Lowriders to rally cars. Donks to daily drivers. If it has wheels and a story, it belongs here. No gatekeeping.
Messaging is between two people. No public comment sections. No audience to perform for. Just real conversations.
Built by car people.
For car people.
